A Day in the Life of an Accounting Assistant:
Receive and verify expense reports (reconcile expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records) Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identify discount opportunities, and issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed Assist with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions Record entry of, verify documentation for, and distribute petty cash Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices What You'll Bring to the Table:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or 2 years of experience in Accounting / Bookkeeping Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail What You'll Get from Us:
